We are searching for core members for the Maker Space Society. A "Member At Large" is a person who has some skills to share with the wider community, or someone who would like to provide general help at various functions and events that we put on. Here is a sample of the events: - How To Solder Class - Basic Computer Programming - Repair Cafe (help people fix broken items) - Wearable Technology Workshop - Various workshops for tech and other skills (woodworking, sewing and fabrics, stained glass, pottery, etc) The events are held in various locations between Spillimacheen and Canal Flats using our Mobile Learning Center.

Dates and Times

The time commitment is quite flexible - we advertise events in advance and poll our members to0 see who can commit to help.

Required Qualifications

We do not have any specific formal qualifications or certifications. We will ask that volunteers go through a short orientation for working with youth. A police records check would be a great, but not required.

Position Responsibilities

- help set up and take down chairs/tables for events - help people during learning events - teach your skills to others - apply your repair skills at our repair events
